- (a) As specified in RSA 485:8, III, the applicant shall pay an application fee for the review of new PWSs or existing PWSs where conversion from transient use to residential use is proposed.
- (b) As required by RSA 485:8, IV, the applicant shall submit the fee payment at the time of the design review submission.
(c) The amount of the fee shall be based on the number of residential-type or residential-equivalent units proposed to be served by the new PWS, determined as follows:
- (1) For residential-type units, the fee shall be as stated in RSA 485:8, III per unit, regardless of the size of the residential units; and
- (2) For non-residential uses, the fee shall be as stated in RSA 485:8, III per residential-equivalent unit, rounded off to the nearest full residential-equivalent unit.
- (d) A residential-equivalent unit shall be a design flow of 300 gallons per day (gpd).
- (e) The department shall determine the number of units the system is designed to accommodate based on the applicant’s system design parameters, proposed plans for additional construction, and other factors bearing on the ultimate system demand.
- (f) Any application for expansion within 2 years of the initial submittal shall be deemed part of the initial water system design and therefore subject to the fee.
- (g) The maximum fee shall be based on 175 residential units, residential-equivalent units, or a combination of both.
- (h) The minimum fee shall be based on 2 residential-equivalent units.
