1. (a) The PORS O/O shall prepare and implement a maintenance schedule for each of the following components of the system, as applicable:

   1. (1) Pump stations;
   2. (2) Electrical equipment and controls;
   3. (3) Water storage tanks; and
   4. (4) Distribution system piping.

2. (b) The schedule shall require maintenance at intervals adequate to ensure that the PORS operates as designed, based on:

   1. (1) The maintenance frequencies recommended by the manufacturer, for those components for which such recommendations exist; and
   2. (2) For all other components, the frequencies commonly used in the water works industry, such as those recommended by the American Water Works Association.
