N.H. Code Admin. R. Env-Dw 1206.04 – Required Action After Mechanical Breakdown or Other Failure of a PORS

(a) If the PORS experiences a mechanical failure, water main break, or power failure or experiences an unexplained change in the water quality in the PORS, the PORS O/O shall initiate, as appropriate to the situation:
1. (1) Disinfection;
2. (2) Bacterial testing;
3. (3) Flushing;
4. (4) Public notice to consumers; or
5. (5) A combination of one or more actions identified in (1)-(4), above.
(b) The action(s) taken shall be determined by the PORS O/O after a careful analysis of the event.
