“Protected water source” means a groundwater source not under the influence of surface water whose location meets the well location requirements specified in Env-Dw 405.13 or Env-Dw 406.11, as applicable, and whose sanitary protective area does not contain wastewater disposal systems, dumpsters, detention ponds, infiltration basins, animal pens, or other development that could introduce pathogens.
