1. (a) The purpose of this part is to establish the scope of training required to obtain and renew a certification pursuant to Env-A 1818.

2. (b) The training described in this part is intended to supplement, and not to replace or wholly satisfy, federal training requirements for working with asbestos, including, as applicable:

   1. (1) 29 CFR 1926.1101;
   2. (2) 29 CFR 1910.120; and
   3. (3) 40 CFR 763.
