1. (a) Each water utility shall keep records numerically arranged and classified by meter type presenting, for each meter owned and used by the water utility for any purpose, the following:

   1. (1) Identification number;
   2. (2) Date of purchase;
   3. (3) Name of manufacturer;
   4. (4) Serial number;
   5. (5) Type;
   6. (6) Rating; and

   7. (7) Information as to each premises where the meter has been in service, as follows:

      1. a. The name and address of each customer on whose premises the meter has been in service;
      2. b. Date of installation; and
      3. c. Date of removal.
2. (b) These records shall be maintained in a manner such that the date of the last test is readily ascertainable.
