To be pre-approved for continuing education status courses shall:

1. (a) Contribute to the growth of the professional knowledge and competence in the practice of chiropractic;
2. (b) Feature subjects and topics, instructors, textbooks and equipment that reflect a current level of chiropractic education and research;
3. (c) Include procedures for checking attendance at each session;
4. (d) Assign no more than 10 hours of credit for a full day session;
5. (e) Not be courses in general business skills or practices;
6. (f) Not be vehicles for the marketing of products, merchandise or equipment;

7. (g) Provide those completing the course with:

   1. (1) A transcript; or

   2. (2) A certificate or voucher of course attendance stating:

      1. a. The name of the person taking the course;
      2. b. The title of the course;
      3. c. The name of the sponsor of the course;
      4. d. The beginning and ending hours and dates of the course;
      5. e. The location of the course;
      6. f. The continuing education hours credited; and
      7. g. The score or grade given to the person taking the course, if any; and

8. (h) Consist primarily, but not necessarily exclusively, of instruction in one or more of the following subjects

   1. (1) Chiropractic adjusting technique;
   2. (2) Chiropractic philosophy;
   3. (3) Analysis of vertebral subluxation;
   4. (4) Chiropractic ethics and jurisprudence;
   5. (5) Diagnostic imaging;
   6. (6) Physical diagnosis;
   7. (7) Clinical laboratory diagnosis;
   8. (8) Orthopedics;
   9. (9) Neurology;
   10. (10) Emergency and first aid procedures;
   11. (11) Nutritional physiology;
   12. (12) Physiological therapeutics and rehabilitation;
   13. (13) Electrodiagnostic procedures;
   14. (14) Public health and safety; and
   15. (15) Risk management and record keeping.
