1. (a) Practical exams shall be the national tests developed by the National Interstate Council to ensure the applicant conforms to the minimal skills taught.

2. (b) Practical examinations shall be as follows:

   1. (1) The master barber test shall consist of:

      1. a. Regular tapered haircutting;
      2. b. Hair lightening;
      3. c. Hair coloring;
      4. d. Shaving with a straight razor;
      5. e. Chemical relaxing;
      6. f. Chemical waving;
      7. g. Facial; and
      8. h. Work area and client preparation;

   2. (2) The cosmetologist test shall consist of:

      1. a. Chemical waving;
      2. b. Hair shaping;
      3. c. Hair coloring;
      4. d. Hair lightening;
      5. e. Chemical hair relaxing;
      6. f. Thermal curling;
      7. g. Manicuring;
      8. h. Facials; and
      9. i. Work area and client preparation;

   3. (3) The esthetician test shall consist of:

      1. a. Facial massaging;
      2. b. Facial masks;
      3. c. Hair removal of the eyebrows;
      4. d. Makeup;
      5. e. Cleansing the face;
      6. f. Steaming and exfoliating the face; and
      7. g. Work area and client preparation;

   4. (4) The manicurist test shall consist of a:

      1. a. Basic manicure and polish application;
      2. b. Sculptured nail;
      3. c. Nail tip;
      4. d. Nail wrap; and
      5. e. Work area and client preparation;

   5. (5) The instructor test shall consist of a:

      1. a. Theory lesson plan;
      2. b. Theory lecture;
      3. c. Practical demonstration; and
      4. d. Demonstration lesson plan; and

   6. (6) The barber test shall consist of a:

      1. a. Regular tapered haircutting;
      2. b. Shaving with a straight razor;
      3. c. Work area and client preparation; and
      4. d. Facial.
3. (c) A proctor or examiner shall test a maximum of 8 applicants at the same time.
