N.H. Code Admin. R. Agr 3705.01

Feeding Requirements

(a) All equine species shall:
1. (1) Receive good quality roughage in proportion to their size, age, temperament and amount of work they are required to perform;
2. (2) Receive grain to supplement the roughage to meet daily nutritional requirements;
3. (3) Be fed on a regular daily schedule;
4. (4) Be fed a diet that is clean and free of excessive moisture;
5. (5) Be fed a diet that is free of mold or any type of spoilage; and
6. (6) Have a sufficient quantity of fresh water available to maintain hydration.
