N.H. Code Admin. R. Agr 2401.01 – Quarantine

(a) An equine found to be a reactor on a second test for equine infectious anemia (EIA) shall be quarantined.
(b) A quarantined equine shall:
1. (1) Be kept with no other equine;
2. (2) Not leave the property to which quarantined; and
3. (3) Be kept a minimum of 1/4 mile from the nearest paddock, pasture or barn having equine species.
(c) A reactor may be kept within 1/4 mile of other equines or equine facility providing the reactor is maintained in a screened-in enclosure.
(d) Notwithstanding (b)(1) above a reactor may be quarantined with:
1. (1) Another reactor; or
2. (2) One or more EIA negative equine if the quarantine conditions are maintained for them.
