The purpose of these rules is to implement the responsibility of the department of administrative services relative to repayment of sums expended by the state for indigent defense services and defense expenses by:

1. (a) For repayment orders issued prior to July 1, 2020, establishing requirements and procedures for:

   1. (1) Determining the installment payments and schedules for repayment; and
   2. (2) Carrying out financial and credit investigations in connection with the determination of such installment payments and schedules; and
2. (b) For repayment orders issued or modified on or after July 1, 2020, establishing requirements and procedures for collection of payments, as ordered by the court.
