The purposes of the library forums are to:

1. I. Encourage information sharing between area libraries.
2. II. Promote cooperative planning and services among area libraries.
3. III. Provide liaison between area libraries and the state library.
4. IV. Communicate with the commissioner on local needs and state library services.
