As used in this subdivision:

1. I. "Median family income" means that income for each municipality using the most recent data available from the United States Bureau of the Census.
2. II. "Equalized valuation per pupil" means the average equalized valuation within the school district over the most recent 5 years divided by the current number of pupils within the school district expressed as an average from the most recent 5 years of available data collected by the department of education.
