1. "Converted organization" means the banking institution, credit union, or other financial institution previously authorized by the commissioner to engage in the business of banking under the laws of this state and has been converted into a cooperative financial institution under this chapter.

2. "Member" means a holder of a cooperative financial institution savings, demand, or other authorized deposit account.

3. "Originating member" means an individual who seeks to form a cooperative financial institution under this chapter.
