N.D. Admin. Code § 75-03-44-31
1. The certified clinic shall provide the following evidence-based practices: a. Motivational interviewing; b. Cognitive behavioral therapy; c. Trauma-focused cognitive behavioral therapy; d. Long-acting injectable medications and other effective but underutilized medications to treat both mental and substance use disorders; and e. Food and drug administration-approved medications for mental and substance use disorders including opioid use disorder and nicotine replacement therapies.
2. A certified clinic shall provide, directly or through a designated collaborating organization or formal partner, evidence-based services appropriate for the phase of life and development of the individual, specifically considering what is appropriate for children of various ages and older adults, as distinct groups for whom life stage and functioning may affect treatment. The certified clinic's treatments must be delivered by staff with specific training in treating the segment of the population being served, as follows: a. If treating children, the certified clinics shall provide evidence-based services that are developmentally appropriate, child guided, and family driven. b. If treating older adults, the certified clinic shall consider the desires and functioning of the individual and provide the appropriate evidence-based treatments.
c. If treating individuals with developmental, brain injury, or other cognitive disabilities, the certified clinic shall consider the level of functioning and provide the appropriate evidence-based treatments.
3. Supports for children must comprehensively address family, legal representative, school, medical, mental health, substance use, psychosocial, and environmental issues.
