The foundation and supports of any scale installed in a fixed position must consist of reinforced concrete of sufficient strength to ensure rigidity and permanence. The fulcrum stands for the levers or

the load cells of large capacity scales must be installed on level piers with a minimum of grouting. All footings must be of adequate depth to extend below the frostline.
