54-03.2-09-02. Voluntary closing.

When the sponsor institution decides to close a nursing education program, the school shall notify the board in writing of the plan for discontinuation and the intended date of closing.

1. The nursing education program may choose one of the following closing procedures: a. Continue the nursing education program until the last class enrolled is graduated; or b. Transfer currently enrolled students to other board-approved nursing education programs.

2. The nursing education program shall continue to meet the standards for nursing education until closed.
