54-03.2-03-02. Practical or associate degree nurse education program administrator qualifications.
The qualifications for an administrator in a program leading to a certificate in practical nursing or associate degree in nursing are:
1. A minimum of a master's degree from an accredited institution with a major in nursing;
2. A current unencumbered registered nurse license or privilege to practice;
3. Experience in teaching and knowledge of learning principles for adult education, including nursing curriculum development, administration, and evaluation; and
4. A current knowledge of nursing practice at the practical or associate degree nurse level or as otherwise approved by the board.
