The board consists of six members appointed by the governor for terms of five years. To provide equal representation on the board, one member is selected from the master electricians, one from the journeymen electricians, one from the investor-owned utilities, one a consumer member of a rural electric cooperative, one an elevator mechanic, and one a member representing the public who may not be associated directly with the electrical industry.
