1. (a) Training required for an applicant with a marriage and family therapy degree or related degree in G.S. 90-270.54(a)(1)(a) is a graduate degree that includes marriage and family therapy content, including coursework in:

   1. (1) Theoretical Foundation of Marriage and Family Therapy;
   2. (2) Assessment and Diagnosis;
   3. (3) Practice of Marriage and Family Therapy;
   4. (4) Human Development and Family Relations;
   5. (5) Professional Identity and Ethics;
   6. (6) Clinical Research; and
   7. (7) Supervised Clinical Practicum or Internship.

2. (b) Applicants who were enrolled in a master's degree program on or before October 1, 2011 shall also be considered for licensure with coursework that includes specific marriage and family therapy content, including coursework in:

   1. (1) General Family Studies;
   2. (2) Marriage and Family Therapy Theory;
   3. (3) Psychopathology/Abnormal Behavior;
   4. (4) Theories of Personality; and
   5. (5) Supervised Clinical Practicum or Internship.
