A registered apprentice shall:

1. (1) attend an approved barber school for a period of at least 1,528 hours as set forth in 21 NCAC 06F .0120;
2. (2) furnish the Board with the Form BAR-4 as set forth in 21 NCAC 06N .0105 and pay the fee according to 21 NCAC 06N .0101(a)(6); and
3. (3) make a score of at least 70 percent on both a written and practical apprentice examination.
