1. (a) An auctioneer, apprentice auctioneer, or designated person of an auction firm who is unable to attend a Board-approved course and obtain the requisite hours of instruction established by the Board may submit evidence of alternative compliance.
2. (b) A written submission of alternative compliance shall be received by the Board by May 15 of the year when the requisite hours of instruction are to be completed.
3. (c) The course of instruction submitted as alternative compliance shall be completed prior to license renewal.

4. (d) Alternative compliance shall include:

   1. (1) Academic courses at a community college, junior college, college, or university accredited by an agency recognized by the United States Department of Education in any of the following topics:

      1. (A) Accounting;
      2. (B) Finance;
      3. (C) Business Management;
      4. (D) Business Law;
      5. (E) Economics;
      6. (F) Marketing;
      7. (G) Computer Science; or
      8. (H) Sales.
   2. (2) Completion of any real estate course accredited by a state real estate licensing body.
