The Division of Vocational Rehabilitation Services utilizes speech and hearing centers that in addition to meeting minimum standards for equipment, have staff which have been licensed by the State Board of Examiners for Speech and Language Pathology and Audiology. Minimum standards for equipment include:

1. (1) A sound treated test room separated from the tester and testing equipment;
2. (2) An audiometer with a pure tone range of at least 250 Hz to 8000 Hz to include 500, 1000, 2000, 4000 Hz;
3. (3) Calibration of equipment; and

4. (4) It is desirable to have:

   1. (a) Impedance audiometry,
   2. (b) Bekesey,
   3. (c) ABLE,
   4. (d) SISI,
   5. (e) Tone decay.
