1. (a) Community Child Protection Teams shall be established in every county in the state. Team membership shall consist of representatives of public and nonpublic agencies in the community that provide services to children and their families and other individuals who represent the community. These community representatives shall meet together on a regular basis:

   1. (1) to identify gaps and deficiencies in community resources which have impact on the incidence of abuse, neglect, or dependency;
   2. (2) to advocate for system improvements and needed resources where gaps and deficiencies exist in the child protection system;
   3. (3) to promote collaboration between agencies in the creation or improvement of resources for children as a result of their review of selected cases; and
   4. (4) to inform the county commissioners about actions needed to prevent or ameliorate child abuse, neglect, or dependency.
2. (b) The Community Child Protection Team shall not encompass a geographic or governmental area larger than one county.
