1. (a) In addition to the general requirements of Specialty Care Transport Programs in Rule .0301 of this Section, Air Medical Programs using fixed-wing aircraft shall document that:

   1. (1) Medical crew members have all completed training regarding:

      1. (A) Altitude physiology; and
      2. (B) The operation of the EMS communications system used in the program;
   2. (2) Written policies and procedures specifying how ground ambulance services are utilized by the program for patient delivery and receipt on each end of the transport; and
   3. (3) There is a copy of the Specialty Care Treatment Program patient care protocols.
2. (b) All patient, re-positioning, and mission flight legs must be conducted under FAA part 135 regulations.
