- (a) If a person asked to write a book review for the North Carolina Historical Review does not reply within a month, the editors shall seek another reviewer.
- (b) The same reviewer shall not be used more than once in any year, except in rare instances where no other equally qualified reviewer can be found for a second book.
- (c) A person who has agreed to review a book for another periodical should not subsequently agree to review the same book for the North Carolina Historical Review.
- (d) Unsolicited reviews shall not be accepted, but a person may request permission to review a particular book, provided the publisher furnishes a copy to the North Carolina Historical Review.
