R7‑29 WATER METER ACCURACY

1. (a) Installation Test. - Every water service meter, whether new or repaired, shall be in good order and shall be correct to within 2% fast or slow before being installed for the use of any customer.

2. (b) Meter Test Flows. - The following test rates are recommended for conducting test:

   It is recommended that no less than three rates of flow be used.

   *Note - A meter failing to register 5% of the water passed at those rates marked * should not be installed without correction.

3. (c) Method of Testing. - All tests to determine the accuracy of registration of any water service meter shall be made with suitable testing instruments.
