The policies for receiving dead or sick animal specimens for study by the Diagnostic Laboratories Section are as follows:

1. (1) Animals too decomposed for study will not be accepted; and
2. (2) Animal tissues (parts of animals), blood, serum, milk, must be collected and submitted by a licensed veterinarian or the professional personnel of other laboratories.
