1. (1) The following wildlife species may be introduced or transplanted by the department based upon scientific investigation and upon approval of the commission:

   1. (a) gray (Hungarian) partridge (Perdix perdix);
   2. (b) chukar partridge (Alectoris chukar);
   3. (c) ring-necked pheasant (Phasianus colchicus);
   4. (d) turkey (Meleagris gallopavo);
   5. (e) rainbow trout (Salmo gairdneri);
   6. (f) golden trout (Salmo aquabonita);
   7. (g) brown trout (Salmo trutta);
   8. (h) brook trout (Salvelinus fontinalis);
   9. (i) lake trout (Salvelinus namaycush);
   10. (j) northern pike (Esox lucius);
   11. (k) black bullhead (Ictalurus melas);
   12. (l) yellow bullhead (Ictalurus natalis);
   13. (m) largemouth bass (Micropterus salmoides);
   14. (n) smallmouth bass (Micropterus dolomieui);
   15. (o) pumpkinseed sunfish (Lepomis gibbosus);
   16. (p) bluegill (Lepomis macrochirus);
   17. (q) green sunfish (Lepomis cyanellus);
   18. (r) rock bass (Ambloplites rupestris);
   19. (s) black crappie (Pomoxis nigromaculatus);
   20. (t) white crappie (Pomoxis annularis);
   21. (u) yellow perch (Perca flavescens);
   22. (v) walleye (Sander vitreus);
   23. (w) cisco (tulibee) (Coregonus artedii);
   24. (x) spottail shiner (Notropis hudsonius);
   25. (y) kokanee salmon (Oncorhynchus nerka);
   26. (z) chinook salmon (Oncorhynchus tshawytscha);
   27. (aa) lake whitefish (Coregonus clupeaformis);
   28. (bb) golden shiner (Notemigonus crysoleucas).
2. (2) The commission may by rule and subject to the provisions of 87-5-711 authorize the department to transplant or introduce species of wildlife not listed in subsection (1).
