As used in this part, the following definitions apply:

1. (1) "Mediation" has the meaning provided in 26-1-813(1).

2. (2) "Party" means any one of the following, and "parties" means all of the following:

   1. (a) the defendant;
   2. (b) a victim of the crime; or
   3. (c) the county attorney or other prosecuting attorney.
