- (1) The attorney general may issue confidential license plates and certificates of registration to bona fide law enforcement agencies, except the highway patrol, within the state of Montana.
- (2) The attorney general may issue confidential license plates and certificates of registration for purposes other than law enforcement.
- (3) Confidential license plates and certificates of registration are exempt from all requirements for public disclosure.
- (4) The issuance of confidential registrations is subject to the provisions of this part.
