1. (1) Aerosol pesticide containers shall be handled in the following manner:

   1. (a) The cap shall be replaced.
   2. (b) The container shall be wrapped in absorbent material.
   3. (c) The container shall be discarded in a sanitary landfill.
   4. (d) Aerosol containers shall not be punctured, burned or incinerated.

2. (2) Fiber drums with liners and paper or plastic bags shall be handled in the following manner:

   1. (a) Clinging particles shall be loosened by shaking and tapping sides and bottom of the liner or bag and placed in application equipment.
   2. (b) The drum and liner or bag shall be discarded in a sanitary landfill.

3. (3) Compressed gas cylinders shall be handled in the following manner:

   1. (a) Label directions, precautions, and procedure for returning the container to the dealer, registrant or formulator shall be followed.
4. (4) Other pesticide containers not described in this rule must be disposed of according to the label directions.
