1. (1) Each program expedition must include a field director responsible for:

   1. (a) the quality of the field activities;
   2. (b) coordinating field operations;
   3. (c) supervising direct care staff;
   4. (d) managing the field office; and
   5. (e) ensuring compliance with applicable licensing rules.

2. (2) The field director must have the following:

   1. (a) a bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline or 12 months of outdoor program field experience; and
   2. (b) a current wilderness first responder certification.
3. (3) The administrator of the program may serve as the field director if qualified for both positions.
