If a hospital provides a coronary care unit, the unit shall comply with the following requirements:

1. (1) When a patient is cared for in a coronary care unit, a licensed registered nurse shall be on duty.

2. (2) At a minimum, the following equipment and supplies must be available in a coronary care unit:

   1. (a) oxygen, oxygen and suction apparatus;
   2. (b) defibrillator, resuscitator and respirator;
   3. (c) emergency drugs;
   4. (d) oscilloscope;
   5. (e) heart-rate meter with an alarm system;
   6. (f) an electrocardiograph which is activated simultaneously with the alarm system and which may also be activated manually or at predetermined intervals;
   7. (g) external pacemaker.
