In addition to the definitions found in 22-3-903, MCA, the following definitions apply in this subchapter:

1. (1) "Culturally unidentifiable human skeletal remains or funerary objects" means human remains and funerary objects in a museum or an agency's possession for which no lineal descendant or cultural affiliation has been identified in the inventory process described in 22-3-911, MCA.
2. (2) "Group" means a "tribal group" as defined in 22-3-803, MCA, or a "cultural group" as defined in 22-3-805, MCA.

3. (3) "Identifiable earlier tribe" means:

   1. (a) Blackfeet;
   2. (b) Gros Ventres;
   3. (c) Crow;
   4. (d) Sioux;
   5. (e) Kootenai (Flathead Reservation);
   6. (f) Assiniboine (Fort Belknap Reservation);
   7. (g) Assiniboine (Fort Peck Reservation);
   8. (h) Chippewa (Rocky Boy's Reservation and Little Shell Tribe);
   9. (i) Pend d'Oreille or Upper Kalispell (Flathead Reservation);
   10. (j) Salish or Flathead (Flathead Reservation);
   11. (k) Cheyenne;
   12. (l) Cree (Rocky Boy's Reservation);
   13. (m) Kiowa;
   14. (n) Shoshone;
   15. (o) Bannock; and
   16. (p) Apachean.
