1. (1) The department may amend, suspend, or cancel a special recreation permit if necessary to protect public health, public safety, or the environment.
2. (2) The department may suspend or cancel a special recreation permit if the permittee violates or fails to comply with a permit stipulation or is convicted of violating a federal or state law or regulation concerning the conservation or protection of natural resources, the environment, endangered species, or antiquities.
