- (1) Contracts between districts and bus contractors must be signed prior to the adoption of the budget by the trustees. Such contracts may run for a period of more than one year but not exceeding five years. Whenever a new contract is completed, one copy is retained by the bus contractor, one copy is retained by the district clerk and one copy is transmitted to the county superintendent.
