1. (1) To satisfy the requirements of traffic education content standard 3, a student must demonstrate and analyze the importance of proper visual skills for the safe operation of a motor vehicle.

2. (2) The benchmarks for traffic education content standard 3 for a student upon completion are the ability to:

   1. (a) know proper visual skills for operating a motor vehicle;
   2. (b) communicate and explain proper visual skills for operating a motor vehicle;
   3. (c) demonstrate the use of proper visual skills for operating a motor vehicle; and
   4. (d) demonstrate positive habits and attitudes for consistent proper visual skills.
