As used in sections 383.075 to 383.083, the following terms mean:

1. (1) "Director", the director of the department of commerce and insurance;
2. (2) "Legal malpractice insurance", insurance coverage against a civil liability arising against the insured resulting from an act of omission by the insured or his employees acting in their professional capacity.
