PURPOSE: This rule establishes the procedures by which a mortgage loan originator can challenge information submitted by the director to the Nationwide Mortgage Licensing System and Registry.

1. (1) A mortgage loan originator may challenge the accuracy of information entered by the director to the Nationwide Mortgage Licensing System and Registry (NMLSR) regarding the mortgage loan originator by filing a written appeal with the director. The appeal shall specify what information is alleged to be in error and the basis of said belief. The appeal shall also include any documentation believed to support the mortgage loan originator’s claim. The director shall review the appeal and notify the mortgage loan originator of the director’s decision within thirty (30) days of receipt of the appeal, which shall represent the director’s final decision.
