The police department shall annually prepare a traffic report that shall be filed with the executive head of this governmental unit and the ordinance making body of this governmental unit. The report shall contain all of the following information on traffic matters in this municipality:

1. (a) The number of traffic accidents.
2. (b) The number of persons killed.
3. (c) The number of persons injured.
4. (d) The number of traffic accidents investigated.
5. (e) The plans and recommendations of the police department for future traffic safety activities.
6. (f) Other pertinent data on the safety activities of the police.
7. (g) Other pertinent traffic accident data.
