Summary: This chapter sets forth requirements for the closing of a school operated within Maine's unorganized territory.

SECTION 1. Closing a School

Prior to closing a school in the unorganized territory, the Commissioner of Education shall hold a public hearing in the area served by that school. The public hearing shall be held at least one year prior to the proposed date of closure.
