1. A. In this chapter, the following terms have the meanings indicated.

2. B. Terms Defined.

   1. (1) “Draft committee” means an entity that is organized to encourage a potential candidate to run for office but is not authorized by the potential candidate.

   2. (2) Exploratory Committee.

      1. (a) “Exploratory committee” means an entity established by a prospective candidate for a public office to determine the potential candidate’s viability for that public office.
      2. (b) “Exploratory committee” does not mean a political committee.
