1. A. All employees or contractors who perform maintenance, testing, or programming functions, in an administrative capacity, other than normal polling place activities, on the voting system or its components must undergo a criminal background check.
2. B. The local board may accept a criminal background check performed within 6 months prior to hire if conducted by the State Board or another local board, if the provider verifies and documents its authenticity.
