1. A. In this chapter, the following terms have the meanings indicated.

2. B. Terms Defined.

   1. (1) “Carrier” means an insurer or nonprofit health service plan that sells medical stop loss insurance in Maryland.
   2. (2) “Medical stop-loss insurance” has the meaning stated in Insurance Article, §15-129, Annotated Code of Maryland.
   3. (3) “Medical stop-loss insurance disclosure form” means the form shown in Regulation .04 of this chapter.
   4. (4) “Small employer” has the meaning stated in Insurance Article, §31-101, Annotated Code of Maryland.
