1. A. In this chapter, the following terms have the meanings indicated.

2. B. Terms Defined.

   1. (1) “Health benefit plan” has the meaning stated in Insurance Article, §31-101, Annotated Code of Maryland.

   2. (2) “Health insurance product” means any:

      1. (a) Group or individual health insurance policy or contract which covers a Maryland resident;
      2. (b) Individual health insurance contract issued to a Maryland resident; or
      3. (c) Rider to any group or individual health insurance contract issued to a Maryland resident.
   3. (3) “Single case basis” means a contract which was approved by the Maryland Insurance Administration for issuance to only one contract holder in Maryland.
