1. A. This chapter applies only to policies of commercial insurance.

2. B. This chapter does not apply to:

   1. (1) A policy in effect for 45 days or less, as provided in Insurance Article, §12-106, Annotated Code of Maryland; or
   2. (2) A policy issued to an exempt commercial policyholder under Insurance Article, §11-206, Annotated Code of Maryland, if the policy provides for written notice of not less than 30 days of the insurer’s intent to cancel or refusal to renew.
