The terms “clerk”, “helping teacher”, “principal”, “superintendent”, “supervisor”, or “teacher” in State Personnel and Pensions Article, §§22-205(a)(1) and 23-206(a)(1), Annotated Code of Maryland, include the following employees of a day school in the State under the authority and supervision of a county board of education or the Baltimore City Board of School Commissioners:

1. A. Individuals who are eligible for a certificate under Education Article, Title 6, Annotated Code of Maryland, who perform teaching duties or who perform administrative or supervisory duties in the teaching field;

2. B. Principal employees on the central staff who supervise one or more of the following categories:

   1. (1) Transportation,
   2. (2) Building operations (includes maintenance, custodial, repair operations, and security services), or
   3. (3) Food services;
3. C. Audiologists with proper degrees;
4. D. Bookmobile drivers who are designated as driver/clerks;
5. E. Bus attendants for handicapped children;
6. F. Dietitians with appropriate degrees;
7. G. Occupational therapists with proper degrees;
8. H. Professional speech pathologists with proper degrees;
9. I. Psychiatrists;
10. J. Psychologists;
11. K. Psychometrists with proper degrees;
12. L. Registered nurses;
13. M. Social workers with appropriate degrees;
14. N. Classroom teacher aides;
15. O. Physical therapists; and
16. P. Braillists.

Effective January 1, 1996, all of Title 22 was repealed and completely new regulations adopted. Codification and organization of the title were also completely changed.
