1. A. The following species are designated as fine textured turf grasses:

   1. (1) Colonial bent grass—agrostis capillaris.
   2. (2) Creeping bent grass—agrostis stolonifera var. palustris.
   3. (3) Bermuda grass—cynodon dactylon var. dactylon (only improved varieties intended for turf use).
   4. (4) Canada bluegrass—poa compressa.
   5. (5) Kentucky bluegrass—Poa pratensis.
   6. (6) Rough bluegrass—Poa trivialis.
   7. (7) Red fescue—festuca rubra subsp. rubra.
   8. (8) Chewings fescue—festuca rubra var. commutata.
   9. (9) Hard fescue—festuca longifolia.
   10. (10) Tall fescue (turf-type)—festuca arundinacea.
   11. (11) Zoysia—Zoysia spp.
   12. (12) Perennial ryegrass (turf-type)—lolium perenne.

2. B. The following species are designated coarse textured turf grasses:

   1. (1) Tall fescue (other than turf-type)—festuca arundinacea.
   2. (2) Redtop—agrostis gigantea.
   3. (3) Annual or Italian ryegrass—lolium multiflorum.
   4. (4) Perennial ryegrass (other than turf-type)—lolium perenne.
