1. A. In this chapter, the following terms have the meanings indicated.

2. B. Terms Defined.

   1. (1) “Department” means the Maryland Department of Agriculture.
   2. (2) “Noxious weed” means an annual, biennial, or perennial weed or plant that adversely affects or threatens agricultural production.
   3. (3) “Secretary” means the Secretary of Agriculture or the Secretary’s designee.
